Community Wellbeing

Broadnook Community Trust want to ensure Broadnook Garden Village promotes and supports a culture of healthy living. We would like your help to develop activities, events and community projects that bring this vision to life.
We’re open to all ideas, from organised walking, fitness and running groups, to community gardening projects, stay and play sessions, to large community events where everyone gets together.
Our aim is to create a sense of overall wellbeing- not just physical activity- which contributes to happiness, safety and neighbourliness, making Broadnook a special place to live.
We want to empower you to develop your own community initiatives because we believe that the people who live within a community are the experts. Broadnook Community Trust is here to offer support and guidance, by identifying funding opportunities, sharing knowledge through skills workshops, offering volunteering and training opportunities, and sharing information to make good ideas happen.
Community wellbeing is at the core of Broadnook Garden Village.
Have you got a keen interest in ensuring Broadnook is a great place to live with a great community? Help make it happen. There are different ways to be involved:

- Support us at events and activities on a voluntary basis – help us make a difference
- Run a new club or activity in one of the community spaces when available
- Take commercial space in the future for business or community use e.g. offices, café
- Apply for a Board position as a resident representative or perhaps you’re someone with particular experience in conservation, the charity and voluntary sector, or have a specialist skill set e.g. finance?
- Work for the Trust as for example, a Community Development Worker
- take an allotment or volunteer in the community garden when these areas become available
If you are interested in finding out more about being a member of the Board or a resident representative, or perhaps, you’re someone with a particular experience in conservation, the charity/voluntary sector, or have a specialist skill set e.g. finance, please do drop us an email – info@broadnooktrust.org.uk
